Okay, so I've been learning to dance since around May/June of last year and doing various styles such as salsa, merengue, rumba, bachata, swing and some cha cha here and there and probably at a Bronze IV level for most of the steps/patterns with the exception of swing and cha cha.
For the past 2 months or so, my instructor hasn't been really focusing on any new steps or patterns, but getting really picky on little things as to the exact position of my lead, where my fingers should be, some styling here and there.
Is this normal?
I understand why she wants to do it, but it's kind of boring too

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
