Hii...

I think the backlights are failing on my LG tv. Its a pretty old edge lit model, 42LE4500. When turning the set on one or two of the edge LEDs flicker and stabilise, then after a few minutes one in the top right corner appears to go off, leaving a darkened patch on the screen.

Any ideas if this is terminal? I've read its usually cheaper and easier to buy a new set than fix the LEDs.

Thanks!

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
